King is the daughter of Rodney King and founder of the Rodney King Foundation. She is the first subject of the USC Bass Lab’s groundbreaking oral history series titled Voices of a Movement: The Second Draft Project which amplifies Black voices connected to pivotal moments in history, and invites them to illuminate the media’s often skewed record.
